It was your standard fly over, the cool thing is that we fly past my “estate” (fancy name for “my off grid jungle place”) on the coast. It’s pretty much right in line on the coast from the Hilo airport to the vent. That aside, looking into a real ring a fire is one of the most amazing things have EVER seen. I flew with Blue Hawaiian in a well maintained civilian Astar. We cruised at about 160 KPH the whole way there, and were on station for about 30 minutes.
